A look at the ranges and facilities at Front Sight, on 550 acres of Nevada desert about 40 minutes from Las Vegas, as they stood in November 2006. Some of the planned buildings were finished and in use; others were still under construction.
After Action.net’s four-day Defensive Handgun course at Front Sight in November 2006 combined a thorough curriculum, good facilities and very professional instructors in a comfortable, fast-paced atmosphere.
Lectures at Front Sight were not what most students expect. They were scheduled through the day to break up range time, so just as hands and arms got tired from shooting, the class moved into the climate-controlled lecture hall.
After Action.net observed the Tactical Response Force on Force class in Tucson, Arizona, on September 2 and 3, 2006. Owning a hammer does not make you a carpenter, and owning a gun does not make you a gunfighter. This class shows how you will actually react.
After Action.net sat in on the Tactical Response Fighting Pistol course in Casa Grande, Arizona, on August 31 and September 1, 2006. The root word of gunfight is fight, not gun, and this class teaches mindset and tactics over gear and marksmanship.
